Sheriff Cat--My Bite-sized Painting

An old cat in a poet's house had died. Since then, the rats had become a nuisance--they stole the food, broke the plates. By chance the poet heard that his friend's cat recently gave birth to several kittens, so he bought a few fish, strung them onto a willow branch as a treat and a pledge (the tradition), and visited his friend begging for a kitten.
The young cat did a great job in his house. The poet was thrilled and wrote a poem to his friend to show his appreciation. The first two sentences of the poem are written on this painting--Sheriff Cat:
"My little cat has been guarding the house marvelously,
And he carries all the merits of the household that he came from."
