Autumn Day Afternoon

The mountains are starting to be ablaze with color, so does my palette.

A poem written by me for this painting (in both English and Chinese)

"In the mountains, 

By the lake, 

Crouches a little cottage. 

It is built with orange-colored wood logs, 

And with grey slates.

Surrounded by trees, 

The porch is half covered by a clump of rhododendron. 

Leading to the lakeside by a gravel path, 

Sets a small dock, 

And tied to it is a small boat. 

If you ask me where my home is--

It’s right under that little flaming maple, 

On the other side of the bank."

在山里，

在湖边，

卧着小小的屋舍一间。

它有着橘的圆木墙，

灰的檐；

屋围丛树掩映，

廊前生着一大簇杜鹃。

碎石子的甬路漫到湖畔，

那里有一方船埠，

系着一条小船。

你若问我的家在哪里，

就在那株小小的红枫下，

湖的对岸。"
