Cicada's Summer

When I read the book "Souvenirs Entomologiques" regarding cicada chapter, I can't help thinking of the green cicada which I found on my clog on the porch last summer.
When I was young, the summers in the countryside were always noisy by cicadas and frogs. Cicadas took up tall trees, singing high from late morning till afternoon; while frogs stayed in pond, started their opera once dusk fell. Their songs made the days hotter, and the nights deeper.
It says in the book that cicadas have to bear four years' dark life in soil in order to trade for one month's singing under the sun. Just because of this, I decide to sketch that green cicada.
