Tips: Donabe cooking requires a lot of care and patience: Start the heat with medium-low; Once the food boils up, turn down the gas to low heat and let it simmer slowly (with or without lid). Even though the cooking time of a Donabe isn't actually longer than Le Creuset's, it makes you feel so.
